Kim, Nikki, and I are going through Elsie's book a week at a time. Each week on Tuesday, we try to post our response to the challenge of the week. Elsie's books is very inspiring. I haven't always found it easy to do one of these a week but I have loved the push to do so. I got my copy of the book at K2 but you can check out the details of the her book here.
I love participating in challenges. They stretch my imagination and inspire me to use products in new ways. Recently, Nikki cut up one of the Hambly transparent journal pages and used the pieces as decorations on her page. She did not use them as journal pieces at all. That is sooooooo cool! When we stretch ourselves in that way, we begin to see the possibilities of our "Life Art" as infinite. If you haven't been doing any challenges...then, I challenge you to do so!
This week, I will be sharing with you my favorite ways to challenge myself to grow in my art. Pencil Lines is a great new sketch site. Each week they post a new sketch. When you have completed your page, email them and they will post it. It is fun to see how other people respond to the same sketch and some of the sketches I have found to be very challenging. Others are just what I needed to pull of a great page I wanted to make. So, check out Pencil Lines and tell me what you think.
May today there be peace within. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you...May you be content knowing you are a child of god...Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us.
